Import rankings from an external source
Discover how to seamlessly import keywords and their ranking history from an external source into Advanced Web Ranking.
Whether you're importing an old project from AWR or migrating ranking data from another application, you can do so effortlessly with the "Import Rankings" feature. This feature is designed to help you create a new project based on historical data.
To start the import, access the Import Rankings section located in the AWR’s Settings menu and click on the “Choose file” button to upload your CSV file.
The CSV file should have as minimum columns the following (you can download a sample file here):
Update Dates
Websites (including domains or ranking URLs for your website and competitors, as needed). Prepare a separate CSV file for each project, including both the main website and any competitors.
Keywords (and groups if you have them created)
Search engines (country-level defined or localized)
Position ranking history
Once the file is loaded in the Import Ranking section, you need to type the main URL, select the country, and match the predefined columns with the ones from your CSV file.
To match the search engines, you have to click on the “Match search engines” button to configure the settings according to your preferences. To finalize the process, click on the “Match this Search Engine” button.
The last step is to press the “Start Import" button. Your data will be imported shortly, and you’ll be able to access it within a few minutes.
