Replacing the main tracked website
Learn how to replace the main tracked website in AWR without losing your project data.
To replace the current main website, you need to first add it as competitor to the project in question, so that you don't lose the past ranking data.
Simply access the Competitor Settings and add the new domain to be further used for replacement. Then, to switch it as main website, go to the Settings Overview and using the top drop-down select it from the list.
This way, the competitor will become the main website of the project, keeping the historic rankings gathered so far - in 2 different places.
This way, you can compare the new domain performance, next to the old one.
