Dynamic Keyword Groups

Learn what dynamic keyword groups are and how to set them up to track keyword performance over time based on relevant criteria or uncover new keyword opportunities.

The advanced filters you can use to segment your keywords based on what is important can be saved as dynamic keyword groups.

A dynamic keyword group is defined by the keywords that meet the set of selected filtering conditions. As the name suggests, such a group will be dynamically updated each time there are changes to the metrics based on which it was created.

This comes in handy especially to:

  • monitor the evolution in time of a subset of terms organized by relevant criteria.

  • discover new keyword opportunities or threats.

A dynamic group can be created by saving the combination of desired filters applied in one of the following UI reports:

After accessing one of the UI reports mentioned above, all you have to do is click on the Add filter button, then select the metrics relevant to you, set the ranges for each metric, and save the filtering conditions to create a new dynamic keyword group.

Once created, a dynamic keyword group can be used to monitor the evolution in time for the subset of keywords included. Dynamic keyword groups can be used in both UI reports and live templates (widgets) where segmenting data by the group is possible.
